Texas Hospital Association PAC Endorses Rep. Mike Hamilton in HD 19

The Texas Hospital Association’s state political action committee, HOSPAC, has endorsed Rep. Mike Hamilton’s re-election to Texas House District 19. One of the largest hospital associations in the country, THA represents more than 85 percent of the state’s hospitals and health care systems, which employ some 369,000 health care professionals statewide.

“Hospitals are major employers in the state, and workforce needs continue to grow as demand for services increases, especially among the elderly,” said John Hawkins, senior vice president of Advocacy and Public Policy for THA. “Sound health care policies will be more important than ever. Mike Hamilton has been a trusted friend and ally, working with Texas hospitals to address health care issues.”

“Texas hospitals face numerous challenges in delivering care to our diverse, fast-growing population,” said Hawkins. “HOSPAC has endorsed candidates who recognize the importance of health care to all Texans, and value the role that hospitals play in caring for our communities as well as their significant contributions to the state’s economy.”

Mike Hamilton said, “I am honored to have the support of HOSPAC and its members. I remain committed to supporting our hospitals in their mission to provide quality health care services to our residents.
