Hamilton is the Chairman of the House Licensing and Administration Committee. He has served in the Texas legislature since 2003.

“Being part of the conservative House majority which has seen Texas through difficult times has been very rewarding,” said Hamilton. “I want to continue to make sure Texas serves as a shining light to the rest of the nation of how to create jobs and keep a strong economy.”

“Conservative values have made this state great,” said Hamilton. “This fiscal conservative philosophy has enabled us to balance the budget without any new taxes.”

“When it comes to watching out for Southeast Texas, whether that be about hurricane readiness or water rights, nobody knows the issues or works harder on them than I do,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton is a successful small businessman. He is owner of Hamilton Catering and Catfish Kitchen Restaurant. He is past President of the Texas Restaurant Association.

Hamilton and his wife Terry have four children and three grandchildren with two more on the way.
