Issues
This page features my positions on issues relevant to our community at large.
Immigration, and Border Security
"Border Security" is a red herring. What we should be discussing is "comprehensive immigration reform" and how to make the methods of legal immigration fair, reasonable, and more accessible to potential immigrants.
The Unsheltered and Veterans' Issues
It's difficult for me to separate these two issues from each other, so I will not try to do so.
Prohibition Laws
We should not try to force other people to think or feel the way that we do about a subject, and we certainly should not be trying to do so through law. As Texans, we should be setting an example for the rest of the country.
Education and School Choice
Education is one of the most expensive government services and should be expected to provide some of the best returns on our investment. Unfortunately, the discussions on improving education typically revolve around throwing more money at a system that was designed well before the current information age.
Autism Advocacy
It's easy to see that a person in a wheelchair has a physical impairment and may require some help or support. As a neurological condition, the influence of Asperger's Syndrome and other autistic conditions are often invisible to the rest of the world.
Election Integrity
From my perspective as a Libertarian candidate, the whole idea of "election integrity" being a major issue in Texas is another Old Party "red herring" talking point designed to distract voters away from looking at real issues. The topic is simply a 'fear-mongering' tactic based out of their fear that they will not receive their "full count of chickens".
Abortion Issue
The topic alone is the ultimate expression of binary thinking.
